What do the weight-research numbers mean?
TRIUMPH-1 studied 2,339 adults without diabetes for 80 weeks. Average weight change was −17.6%, −23.7%, and −25.0% in the assigned 4, 9, and 12 mg groups, versus −3.9% with placebo, using the treatment-regimen analysis. These are different groups’ averages, not an individual response range or a dosing recommendation. Published September 29, 2026 in NEJM.
Earlier 19.0–28.3% headlines used a different analysis. Lilly’s release explains both analyses.
What can self-reported experiences tell us?
Selected public-post summaries can help identify questions for further research. They cannot establish a typical result, cause, time to goal, or side-effect risk.
About 3.1 lb/week average reported scale-weight change.
About 1.7 lb/week using approximate month/year durations.
Exploratory, unreviewed self-report summaries. These selected groups include uncertain exposure, other treatments, lifestyle changes, and assumptions about timing. No independent human source review is complete. They are kept separate from clinical trial data and never used in this page’s weight illustration.
Is this medical care?
No. PeptideSerum provides research products and education. This page does not diagnose, prescribe, choose a dose, or establish a clinician–patient relationship. Retatrutide is investigational. Read Lilly’s current research information.
